Acts 1:6 Discussion leading to Day of Trumpet
Gina says
The promised kingdom
under the new covenant is a spiritual kingdom, not an earthly one. The new
covenant was never about re-establishing an earthly kingdom for Israel. That is
why Jesus did not answer the disciples in Acts 1:6 when they asked Him if He was
going to restore the kingdom to Israel. It was never about a physical kingdom
on earth. Moreover, all those who call themselves Jews today, and who are
living in that contrived state of Israel today do not acknowledge Christ as our
Lord and Savior. They do not call Him Messiah.
Acts 1:6-7 David L. Stern's Jewish NT Commentary
Self-rule.
According to Arndt and Gingrich’s A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament,
Greek tĂȘn basileian here means “the kingship, royal power, royal rule,” and not
“the kingdom” in the sense of the territory ruled by a king.
Lord, are you at this time going to restore self-rule to Israel? The expectation of virtually all Jews was that when the Messiah came he would deliver Israel from Roman oppression and become king over a Jewish nation reunited and sovereign as it had been under Kings Saul, David and Solomon, and again under the Maccabees (see Joh_10:22) and their Hasmonean descendants (164-63 B.C.E.). This is seen clearly at Joh_6:15, when “they were on the point of coming and seizing [Yeshua], in order to make him king,” to force God’s promise concerning the Messiah that “the government shall be upon his shoulders” (Isa_9:5-6 (Isa_9:6-7), Luk_1:79). No one grasped Yeshua’s teaching that he had not come this first time to rule, but to die “a ransom for many” and be resurrected the third day (Mar_10:33-34, Mar_10:45). Even his talmidim misunderstood and continued to do so after the predicted events had taken place. At Act_1:7-8 Yeshua filled this gap in their knowledge, focussing their attention not on his return but on their task; and we learn later (Act_3:21) that Kefa got the point.
Nevertheless, there is a different point which many Christians need to learn from Yeshua’s answer, namely, that God will indeed restore self-rule to Israel. There is an ancient, widespread and pernicious Christian teaching that the Church is the “New” or “Spiritual” Israel, having replaced the Jews as God’s people. In this view-known variously as Replacement theology, Covenant theology, Kingdom Now theology, Dominionism, Reconstructionism and (in England) Restorationism-God’s promises to Israel were nullified when “the Jews” refused to accept Jesus (never mind that all the first believers were Jews). This false theology, impugning the character of God by suggesting that he will welch on his promises, has provided apparent justification for many antisemitic acts in the Church. It also lies behind most Christian protestations that the present-day regathering of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel is without theological or biblical significance.
Yeshua’s answer to his disciples’ question as to whether he will now restore self-rule to Israel is, “You don’t need to know the dates or the times; the Father has kept these under his own authority.” From this we learn, contrary to the teaching of Replacement Theology, that the kingdom certainly will be restored to Israel. The only question is when, and that is not presently ours to know. “The secret things belong to Adonai our God” (Deu_29:28 (Deu_29:29)).
For a modern presentation of the Replacement theology heresy see David Chilton, Paradise Restored (Fort Worth, TX: Dominion Press, 1985). A book by a popular Christian author refuting Reconstructionism and revealing its antisemitism is Hal Lindsey, The Road to Holocaust (New York: Bantam Books, 1989); another refutation is H. Wayne House and Thomas Ice, Dominion Theology: Blessing or Curse? (Portland, Oregon: Multnomah Press, 1988).

The
word seasons above refers to Leviticus 23 otherwise known as the Moedim. These
are regular Sabbaths. Passover, Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits
=Salvation/Justification. Pentecost = Sanctification 2000 years ago this was
fulfilled. There were 7 days of Creation: 2 days were void of Torah (5 Books of
Moses and Laws of God), 2 Days with Torah; Jesus came during the last 1000
years between the Jubilees-4 years or more into the beginning of the new 1000
years which is 5000 years from Creation so we have 2000 years (2 Days) with
Torah and With the Messiah; and now the last Millennium is upon us and
according to Psalm 118:15 is in the year 5778/2018= Covenant of Peace/Rest and
is called the Day of Rest. The Fall Feasts is Glorification and begins on the
Day of Trumpet with the rapture; Day of Atonement begins the Day of the Lord
with a global earthquake (axial poleshift) (Lev 16:13-27=Rev 8:1-5; Rev
6:12-17) and ends on the Day of Atonement with Marriage of the Groom and Bride
and Armageddon.
There are 5 days of grace before the Messianic Kingdom begins on the first annual Sabbath of Feast of Tabernacles.
At the
time of Acts 1:6, it was not important for them to understand the times (dates)
that these things would be revealed in the last days to the people of that or
those last years.
Deu
29:28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in
great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
Deu 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Deu 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
We are
in the year of Revelation and Deuteronomy 29-33 is a prophecy to the last
generation before the Arrival of the Messianic Kingdom (For the people of Moses
time it was the Land of Canaan). Land of Canaan = Messianic Kingdom which is
the Promised Land. The length of the generation can be 38 years, 40 years, 50
years, 70 years, 80 years, 100 years, and 120 years which all apply to the
Bible Lands or specifically the Palestine lands and those lands that refer to
Israel and Jerusalem. The land of Canaan was divided among the 12 tribes of
Jacob and the land of Judah was and is where Jerusalem, Bethlehem, etc is. So
let’s look at a few times: Battle of Jerusalem +100 years = 2017. 6th Day War
=1967 (Psalm 67)+50 years = 2017. Israel became a nation in 1948 (Psalm 48) but
the proclamation went out in 1947 + 70 years = 2017 (Psalm 117=Deliverance from
Babylon= Freedom, liberty=Jubilee in a year of jubilee from the 120th Jubilee,
the 70th Jubilee of 1441-1446 BCE (the Exodus) which ended in 1401-1406
timeframe)), and the 40th Jubilee since the Death of Yeshua/Jesus. 1948 +70
years = 2018 (Psalms 118 with Day of Trumpet (v. 5); Day of Atonement (v.
10-Ezekiel 38–39 War which can be a 10 day war); and Feast of Tabernacles (v.
15). 6th Day War which was the end of the Gentiles was in 1967=50 years = 2017.
Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together,
they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the
kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Seasons in Acts 1:7= Seasons in I Thess 5:1-8
1Th 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
And is the same seasons as in Gen 1:14
Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

And is the same seasons as in Gen 1:14
Gen
1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide
the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons (Leviticus
23), and for days, and years (Leviticus 25–Shemitah and Jubilee year):
Lev 23=
Regular Sabbath. Passover, Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits = Salvation/Justification.
Man was raised to God. Pentecost: Sanctification; Day of Trumpet, Day of
Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles = Glorification. God comes down to Man.
The 7
Feasts of God = a Menorah. A Menorah has 7 candles (Revelation 7 lampstands)
and the 4th one called the Christ Candle/Servant Candle also equals Pentecost).
Jesus came 4000 years from Creation (2 Pet 3:8= a day = 1000 years as 1000
years = a day). Creation week is also seen as a picture of the Menorah. Genesis
1:1 in the Hebrew has 7 words and the 4th word (Aleph-Tav) means: “Head of the
Cross”. Also verse 3 of Genesis 1:1 And let there be light also forms a Menorah.
Jesus died in the middle of the week as the light of the world on Passover
which that year was on a Wednesday (4th Day event). He rose 72 hours later on
the Feast of First Fruits at the end of the 7th Day (Day of Rest/Covenant of
Peace which is the NEW Covenant) and the beginning of the 8th Day. Rev 22
begins on the eighth day with a new Heaven and a new Earth. Jesus died in the
Middle of the Week of years: 27 CE= Day 1 (Sunday); 28 CE = Day 2; 29 CE= Day
3; 30 CE= Day 4 (Christ Candle/Servant Candle; 4th Day Event, 4000 years as the
Aleph-Tav=Head of the Cross). 31 CE= Day 5; 32 CE= Day 6; 33 CE = Day 7.
Deu 29:1 These are the words of the covenant,
which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land
of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
Deu 29:2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
All Israel refers to all 12 tribes of Israel which also included a mixed multitude that came out of the Exodus. Within this mixed multitude were strangers and foreigners. The Christian Church which is made up of strangers and Foreigners, became a part of all Israel 2000 years ago on the Day of Pentecost (Sanctification).

Deu 29:15 But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:

Deu 29:16 (For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
Deu 29:17 And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
Deu 29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
Deu 29:19 And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
Deu 29:20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
The Trumpet and Bowl Judgments will be poured out upon all those who do not follow God’s Torah or His Laws and those not written in the Book of Life will be plotted out by going into the lake of fire and brimstone.

29:21 And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of

book of the law:
The rapture/resurrection/gathering/taken up (Deut 24:5; Jn 6:38, 40, 44,54, Psalm 117-118, and 3 places in Isaiah) will be a time of separating the ones written in the Book of Life from those who are written in the Book of Death (90 percent of humanity) and the book of Inbetween (2-9 percent of humanity). 50 percent of those will go to the lake of fire and brimstone after the Trumpet and Bowl Judgments are poured out over the globe in 5778/2018. Only 1 percent of humanity including the children under the age of accountability will make it into the Messianic Kingdom on the Day of Trumpet which is the Day of Separation of mankind.

On the day of Separation (Day of trumpet) this will
happen to all those on planet Earth: Rev 22:11
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let
him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and
he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Deu 29:22 So that the generation to come of your
children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a
far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses
which the LORD hath laid upon it;
Generation can mean 38, 40, 50, 70, 80, 100, and 120 years.
Deu 29:23 And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed during Passover Week. 1,250,000 people died and only 3 survived. 2 were bad apples and eventually will end up in the lake of fire and Brimstone and only ONE (Lot) was saved. This is way less than 1 percent. The Flood killed 500-4 Billion and only 8 survived (less than 1 percent). In today’s churches, 90 to 95 percent of them will be going through the Trumpet and Bowl Judgments of Revelation. Do you get it now?
Deu 29:24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
Deu 29:25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
