Binding
of Isaac upon the Altar.
Can
we know the year and the month that Abraham offered up Issac and what
planets were in the constellation of Aries (the ram) at that time and
comparing it to Virgo/Leo? In all the potential years, there were no
planets in Aries. For Virgo/Leo, 1876 is best suited when Isaac was
the age of 25.
The
time frame would be near the Day of Atonement. When examining the Day
of Atonement and Rosh Hashanah/Day of Trumpet, I took into
consideration for watching for Wednesdays (4th day event).
The
offering took place on Mount Moriah. 2 Chronicles 3:1 refers to
"mount Moriah" as the site of Solomon's Temple, while
Psalms 24:3; Isaiah 2:3 & 30:29; and Zechariah 8:3 use the term
"the mount of the LORD" to refer to the site of Solomon's
Temple in Jerusalem, the location believed to be the Temple Mount in
Jerusalem. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binding_of_Isaac
Abraham
offered up Issac in Genesis 22 as the Akedah.
Some
Talmudic sages teach that Isaac was an adult in his age of thirty
seven.
Several
commentators have weighed in on the question of how old Isaac was
when he was to be sacrificed: 18 to 20 years old (Leupold, 1:625); 25
years old (Josephus, 1.13.2); about 33 years old (Adam Clarke,
1:140); and over 20 years old (Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown, p. 29).

The
“Akedah,” or “binding of Isaac” is the Torah portion that
most people relate with Rosh Hashanah. Though Isaac is the one being
bound, the story is referred to as a test of Abraham. Reference to
this story appears throughout the Rosh Hashanah liturgy. Even the
shofar(ram’s horn) blown on the holiday is said to be a reminder of
the Akedah, and how Isaac was spared. Though the story itself is
quite troubling, it does contain a message of hope for Rosh Hashanah.
In the liturgy we ask God to “remember us for life.” The binding
of Isaac concludes with his life being spared, and he too is
“remembered for life.” Abraham’s devotion results in hope for
life.
