August 27th Sabbath and the conjunction
of Jupiter and Venus in Virgo
August 27th (Sabbath) is very interesting according
to Stellarium.
Gen 1:14 And
God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day
from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and
years:
Gen 1:15 And
let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the
earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:16 And
God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser
light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Gen 1:17 And
God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Gen 1:18 And
to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the
darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Luk 21:25 And
there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon
the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things
which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Sabbath Readings: Eikev: Deuteronomy 7:12 - 11:25 ;
Haftarah: Isaiah 49:14 - 51:3 Man does
not live by bread alone, but by the utterance of G-d's mouth does man live
(Deuteronomy 8:3)
This explains a most puzzling fact of life: how is
it that man, the highest form of life, derives vitality and sustenance from the
lower tiers of creation -- the animal, vegetable and mineral?
But the true source of nourishment is the
"Divine utterance" in every creation, and, as the Kabbalists teach,
the "lowlier" the creation, the loftier the divine energy it
contains, like a collapsing wall, in which the highest stones fall the
farthest. (R. Schneur Zalman of Liadi)
As a man chastens his son, so G-d chastens you (8:5)
A father punishing his child inflicts greater
suffering on himself than anything experienced by the child. So it is with G-d:
His pain is greater than our pain. (R. Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev)

On the morning of Saturday, August 27th, the +10th
magnitude asteroid 85 Io occults a +7.5 magnitude star (TYC 0517-00165-1). The
maximum predicted duration for the event is 28 seconds, and the maximum
predicted brightness drop is expected to be 3 magnitudes. The ‘shadow’ will
cross North America from the northeast to the southwest starting over Quebec at
4:27 Universal Time (UT), crossing Ontario and Michigan’s upper peninsula at
4:30 UT, and heading south over Oklahoma, Texas, and Mexico at 4:36 UT. The
action takes place in the constellation Aquarius, with the Moon at a 28% waning
crescent. Universe Today
Picture shows the Asteroid cuts America in half.
Aquarius is called the water bearer in the
Scriptures and it ties to the word: Pour as in pouring out of the Spirit of God
in Joel 2 where men will dream dreams and young men will see visions and people
will confess to one and all of the things of God.
The Waterman. Showers of blessing. Isa.
55:10-11; Ezek 34:26; Eph. 1:3; Isa 33:-Lord is rivers/streams; Joel
2:pours out Spirit. The water carrier dries up the waters and He comes in like
a flood with His army.
Our Savior identified Himself as the fulfillment of
Aquarius in John 4:14. He said, “Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall
give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in
him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Furthermore, we can see its fulfillment on the Day of
Pentecost when the Spirit of God was poured out upon believers. That is the
message to be found in Aquarius. Throughout the Bible, water has been symbolic
of the Holy Spirit.
The prophet Joel described it when he wrote, “And it
shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh”
(Joel 2:28).
The
Apostle Peter repeated the message on the Day of Pentecost when he explained
the “rushing mighty wind” and the “tongues like as of fire” that “sat upon each
of them.”
In the
Bible, the Hebrew word deli is used in Numbers 24:7 in the oracle of Baalam.
“He shall pour the water out of his buckets and his seed shall be in many
waters.” This identification seems to be made in the Beth Alpha Synagogue in
Israel with the fascinating Mazzaroth (Zodiac) on the floor. There Aquarius is
linked with Reuben. As the astral motif indicates a mighty man of stature pouring
out the water, we note a parallel with the Son of God pouring out the rivers of
living water. In the astral motif, the river flowing out of the urn is the
source of life for Pisces Austrinus, the Southern Fish (Jn. 4:14; 7:38). The
Lord spoke through Isaiah “I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and
floods upon the dry ground; and I will pour my Spirit upon your seed and my
blessing on your offspring…” The star-story is then depicting the mighty
God-Man, Jesus Christ, pouring out His Spirit so that those who believe on Him
(the Fish) might live in the spiritual sense.
The Atonement being made, the blessings have been
procured, and now they can be bestowed and poured forth upon the Redeemed. This
is the truth, whether we think of Abel's lamb, of patriarchal sacrifices, the
offerings under the Law, or of that great Sacrifice of which they all
testified. They all with one voice tell us that atonement made is the only
foundation of blessing.
This was pictured and foreshown in the heavens from the
beginning, by a man pouring forth water from an urn which seems to have an
inexhaustible supply, and which flows forth downwards into the mouth of a fish,
which receives it and drinks it all up.
In the ancient Zodiac of Denderah it is the same idea,
though the man holds two urns, and the fish below seems to have come out of the
urn. The man is called Hupei Tirion, which means the place of him coming down
or poured forth.
This agrees with its other names--Hebrew, Deli, the
water-urn, or bucket (as in Numbers 24:7); the Arabic Delu is the same.
The star a (in the right shoulder) is called Sa'ad al
Melik, which means The record of the pouring forth.
The star b (in the other shoulder) is called Saad al
Sund, who goeth and returneth, or the pourer out.
The bright star d (in the lower part of the right leg) is
well-known today by its Hebrew name Scheat, which means who goeth and
returneth.
The bright star in the urn has an Egyptian name--Mon or
Meon, which means simply an urn.
Aquarius is the modern Latin name by which the sign is
known. It has the same meaning, the pourer forth of water.
Christ is first. Yea, He is all in all. The Scriptures
testify of Him; and the very stars in this Sign tell of His going away and His
coming again. These prophetic signs have to do with Him, with the Atonement He
wrought, with the conflict He endured, with the blessings He secured, with the
victory He shall win, and the triumph He shall have. For it is written:
"He shall pour the water out of His buckets, And His
seed shall be in many waters, And His king shall be higher than Agag, And His
knogdom shall be exalted." Numbers 24:7
It tells of that glorious day when
"A King shall reign in righteousness; And princes
shall rule in judgment; And a MAN shall be as an hiding place from the wind,
And a covert from the tempest; As RIVERS of WATER in a dry place." Isaiah
32:1, 2
It speaks of that glorious time when Israel shall be
restored, and their "eyes shall see the King in His beauty"; when the
peace of Zion shall be no more disturbed, "but there the glorious LORD
will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams" (Isaiah 33:17,20,21).
Then
"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad
for them; And the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose, For in the
wilderness shall waters break out, And streams in the desert." Isaiah
35:1, 6
"I will open rivers in high places, And fountains in
the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the
dry land springs of water." Isaiah 41:18
"Fear not, O Jacob, My servant; And thou, Jesurun,
whom I have chosen, For I will POUR WATER upon him that is thirsty, And floods
upon the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed, And My blessing upon
thy offspring. Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, And his Redeemer the
LORD of hosts." Isaiah 44:2, 3, 6
This is the meaning of the Sign. The MAN Christ Jesus,
who was humbled in death will yet be seen to be the pourer forth of every
blessing. Physically pouring forth literal waters, removing the curse, and
turning this world into a paradise:
"Making her wilderness like Eden, And her desert
like the garden of the LORD." Isaiah 51:3
And morally pouring forth His Spirit in such abundance as
to fill the whole earth with peace, and blessing, and glory, "as the
waters cover the sea."
Upon Israel restored He will pour out His blessing. They
will be sprinkled with clean water, and possess a new heart and a new spirit
(Eze 36:24-28; Joel 2:28-32).
Such
are some of the Scriptures which tell of this glorious Water-pourer. We need
not rob Christ of His glory, or Israel of her blessing, in order to see in all
this Pentecost or the Church. These are quite independent of the great line of
prophetic truth. They are parenthetical, and distinct, and true, quite apart
from the glorious prophecies of Israel's scattering and gathering. The physical
marvels referred to in the texts above can never be satisfied or exhausted by
any spiritual fulfilment. We may make an application of them as far as is consistent
with the teaching of the epistles; but the interpretation of them belongs to
the Person of Christ, and the nation of Israel.
Reuben:
rōō´ben, rū´ben (ראוּבן, re'ūbhēn;
Ῥουβήν,
Rhoubḗn): The eldest son of Jacob, born to him by Leah in Paddan-aram
(Gen_29:32).
1. Jacob's Oldest Son:
This
verse seems to suggest two derivations of the name. As it stands in Massoretic
Text it means “behold a son”; but the reason given for so calling him is “The
Lord hath looked upon my affliction,” which in Hebrew is rā'āh be‛onyıa,
literally, “He hath seen my affliction.” Of his boyhood we have only the story
of the mandrakes (Gen_30:14). As the firstborn he should really have been
leader among his father's sons. His birthright was forfeited by a deed of
peculiar infamy (Gen_35:22), and as far as we know his tribe never took the
lead in Israel. It is named first, indeed, in Num_1:5, Num_1:20, but thereafter
it falls to the fourth place, Judah taking the first (Num_2:10, etc.). To
Reuben's intervention Joseph owed his escape from the fate proposed by his
other brethren (Gen_37:29). Some have thought Reuben designed to set him free,
from a desire to rehabilitate himself with his father. But there is no need to
deny to Reuben certain noble and chivalrous qualities. Jacob seems to have
appreciated these, and, perhaps, therefore all the more deeply lamented the
lapse that spoiled his life (Gen_49:3 f). It was Reuben who felt that their
perils and anxieties in Egypt were a fit recompense for the unbrotherly conduct
(Gen_42:22). To assure his father of Benjamin's safe return from Egypt, whither
Joseph required him to be taken, Reuben was ready to pledge his own two sons
(Gen_42:37). Four sons born to him in Canaan went down with Reuben at the
descent of Israel into Egypt (Gen_46:8 f).
The
resemblance of Reuben's case to that of Simeon is striking, for Simeon also
appears to have been practically absorbed in the tribe of Judah. The prestige
that should have been Reuben's in virtue of his birthright is said to have
passed to Joseph (1Ch_5:1). And the place of Reuben and Simeon in Israel is
taken by the sons of Joseph, a fact referred to in the blessing of Jacob
(Gen_48:5).
Ezekiel
finds a place for Reuben in his picture of restored Israel (Eze_48:6). He
appears also - in this case preceded by Judah only - in Rev_7:5.

Pour in the Scriptures
The first usage of the word pour
is within the ten plagues where we see the water bearer.
Exo_4:9 And
it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither
hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour
it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest
out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

The next time we see the
water bearer is in Num. 24:7 which is another prophecy pointing to now in our
time.
Num_24:7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets,
and his seed shall be in many
waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be
exalted.

pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
Psa_42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the
multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and
praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Psa_62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before
him: God is a refuge for us.

the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth
salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created
it.
Jer_6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD;
I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and
upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife
shall be taken, the aged with him that
is full of days.
Jer_10:25 Pour
out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that
call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and
consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate.
Jer_14:16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be
cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and
they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their
daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
Jer_18:21 Therefore deliver up their children to the
famine, and pour out their blood
by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children,
and be widows; and let their
men be put to death; let their
young men be slain by the sword
in battle. (Islam)

anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will
recompense thee for all thine abominations.

I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to
cut off from it man and beast:
Eze_20:8 But they rebelled against me, and would not
hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their
eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger
against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
Eze_20:13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me
in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my
judgments, which if a man do,
he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said,
I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
Eze_20:21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against
me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which
if a man do, he shall even live
in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon
them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Joe_2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the

assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the
earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
Zec_12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and
upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications:
and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for
him, as one mourneth for his
only son, and shall be in
bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Act_2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days,
saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old
