The Woman Clothed with the Sun

In Revelation 12 I believe that we are given a very important sign regarding the coming of the Lord

12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

Here I believe we see a symbolic picture of the nation of Israel—the woman—and the coming of the Christ child. I believe this symbolism appeared as a sign in the skies over Jerusalem in the alignment of the stars on Yom Kippur 9/21/3 BC, which is the most likely birth date of Yeshua/Jesus. On that day the constellation Virgo was “clothed with the sun,” and the moon was no where to be seen. Mercury and Venus were in Virgo and Jupiter was in Leo. On 9/11/3 BC, Jupiter and Regulus was in conjunction. This Regulus/Jupiter conjunction is what David Larson believes is the famed Star of Bethlehem. According to Stellarium -2/9/11, there were no planets in the birth canal of Virgo until Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement. Mercury and the Sun conjoined with Spica on Yom Kippur.

Before we discuss this sign further we need to consider the Biblical meanings of the planets and Regulus. Some were mentioned above, but here is a summary of their meanings which are based on their Hebrew names.

Mercury: Lord Jesus Christ in the First Advent as the Savior
Venus: The Morning Star, the symbol of the Christ in His Second Advent
Mars: Symbolizes the Blood of Christ in His substitutionary spiritual death on the Cross
Jupiter: King Planet, planet of the Messiah
Saturn: symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as God of the Covenants
Uranus: The Mediator planet, which has an axis that points East and West, symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as the Mediator and High Priest.
Neptune: The Redeemer planet symbolizes the Lord Jesus Christ as the One who redeemed mankind with His blood from the slave market of sin.

With those ideas in mind let’s reconsider the celestial alignment of Mercury and Venus in Virgo and Jupiter and the star Regulus in Leo on 9/21/3 BC. This alignment in light of their Biblical meanings suggests the First Coming of Jesus as the Savior (Mercury), the future Second Coming of Christ (Venus), and the coming of the King of Kings, the Messiah (Jupiter in Leo with Regulus). So on that day I believe the Rev. 12 sign was fulfilled and the heavens declared the birth of the Messiah. I also believe this Rev. 12 celestial sign at His birth establishes the fact that celestial alignments can be important prophetic time markers.

Now let’s examine the skies around the time that the Great Pyramid complex points to, Rosh Hashanah in 2017. On 9/20/17 Rosh Hashanah; Virgo is clothed with the Sun, the Moon is not under her feet but is in close conjunction with the sun, and there is an alignment of Jupiter, the Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, and Regulus, with Venus in conjunction with Regulus. In light of their meanings here we see the King/Messiah (Jupiter) with the woman—Israel (Virgo), the First Advent of the Lord (Mercury), His right to return as King because of His shed blood on the cross (Mars), which also alludes to His vesture dipped in blood as described in His Second Coming in Rev. 19:13, and the Morning Star Jesus at His Second Coming becoming King (Venus in conjunction with Regulus.)  Do not forget that on this day there are important alignments with the Giza Pyramid complex as discussed above. In light of the celestial alignments on this day and their meanings I believe this alignment is another piece of prophetic data pointing to a possible 2017 Second Coming.

Three days after this alignment on 9/23/17, Virgo is “clothed with the sun,” the moon is now under her feet, and above her head are 3 planets—Mercury, Mars, and Venus, which are in alignment with the star Regulus in Leo. The 9 stars of Leo and the 3 aligning planets make the crown of 12 stars. Thus this alignment meets the criteria of the Rev. 12 sign and is similar to the 3 BC alignment, but as mentioned above the meaning of the alignments at this date points to His Second Coming. Interestingly enough this alignment occurs the day after Rosh Hashanah on the day of Shabbat Shuvah—the Sabbath of Return. Thus I believe the Revelation 12 celestial alignment on this day is another piece of prophetic data pointing to a possible 2017 Second Coming.

So there we have it, the sign of Revelation 12 in the sky above Jerusalem on special days, of which in their alignments and their meanings point to the First and Second Coming of Christ; the first pointing to the birth of the King of Kings, and the Second pointing to the bright and morning star—Jesus—becoming the King over the earth, which I also believe is alluded to in Revelation 22.

Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Thus I believe these celestial alignments in 2017 have major prophetic implications of which we will discuss more in detail after the next piece of data.

Now we come to the end of the circle. We began with Virgo, the virgin, and we shall end with Leo, the lion. No one who has followed our study can doubt that we have here the solving of the riddle in the Sphinx, for its head is Virgo, and its body is Leo. In Leo we reach the end of the revelation as inspired in the Word of God.

The constellation is depicted as a great lion pouncing upon its prey. It is a magnificent view of the “Lion of the tribe of Judah,” so beautifully described in Revelation 5:5. When our Savior came the first time, He came as the “Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world” (John 1:29). But when He comes the second time, He shall come as the “Lion of the tribe of Judah” to establish His kingdom upon the Earth.

According to Torahcalendar.com 9/23/2017 is Yom Teruah (Day of Trumpet) and 9/23/2017 is Fall Equinox and it is on a Sabbath so we have 2 Sabbaths in a row back to back.

When using stellarium with the above.

"There is no year 0", or "BC dates are a year out"

Stellarium 0.9.1 and later uses astronomical year numbering.

The conventional BC/AD (or BCE/CE) scheme has no year 0 because at the time of it's creation, Europeans were widely ignorant of the concept of the number zero, thus the year before 1 AD is 1 BC. This makes arithmetic awkward, and for this reason astronomers often use a different scheme, referring to AD dates as a positive integer, and re-designating 1 BC/BCE as the year 0. Thus:
