The Shanah/Shannah and 5778

Shannah means to repeat a second time as in repetition and it also means to change.

The year has 365 days and it repeats year after year. There are seasons within the year and they repeat year after year. Season as you know also means The Sabbths of Leviticus 23.

We creatures like to do routines. We repeat things we enjoy doing.

Our very nature is to repeat, just as we live, by nature, as creatures of habit. We gravitate toward that which we have done before, the same routines and courses, even when those routines and courses are harmful to us.

Routine means a regular course of action adhered to by order or habit.

The Jewish New year begins in the Fall in the month of Tishrei (September 15^th- October 15^th) and we read the first 5 books of the Torah on a weekly reading schedule year after year after year. We repeat the lessons from the Torah so we are a people of habit and routines.

The Biblical year begins in the month of Abib in the spring and this year is now the year of 5778 with 5 meaning grace, 7 meaning completion/war; and 8 meaning a New Beginning.

We as humans have a choice to repeat year after year or change as we grow year after year.

The way of the world is to repeat—but the way of God is the way of newness and change. You and I can’t know God and not be changed by knowing Him. His will for this new Biblical year of 5778 which began on March 28, 2017 is not a time of repetition but of change, of new beginnings, new steps, of breaking out of the old and into the new. If you want to experience a year of new things, you must choose to live not in the repetition of the natural, but in the newness of the supernatural. Choose to walk not in your will but in the will of Him who is beyond the natural and beyond all that is old. As it is written, He makes all things new. Open your heart, your soul, your Spirit, and your mind to the newness of His will, and you will walk in the newness of life and in the shannan of change.

Gen_35:2  Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

A bride changes from old dirty rags to a new white dress and is a queen for the day next to her groom the King on their wedding day. And they live happily ever after as King and Queen after the wedding ceremony.

Isa 43:19  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Rom 6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This year is the year that counts to be able to step out of our old ways, habits, and steps. Take a step of faith and do what you have never done before but should have and walk in the newness of the Spirit.

A typology relating to the End of the Age & the Rapture of the Church

‘Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter & John saying , “Go & make preparations for us to eat the Passover …As you enter the city a Man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters…He will show you a large Upper Room all furnished. Make preparation there.’ –Luke 22

The purpose of this short study & chart (see link above) is to present a purely speculative analogy of the Passover as a typology relating to the End of the Age & the Rapture of the Church. This approach will be using ‘type & shadow’ approach of interpretation. The Biblical account of the last Passover Seder that occurred with Jesus Christ & his Followers in the Upper Room will be taken according to the New Testament Gospel narratives.

The Passover account in the 1st Century is striking. It might be a possibility that the LORD provided ‘codes’ or signs to His disciples regarding the Passover. As Christ gave those signs to His disciples of what to look for in the 1st century Passover, the same ‘signs’ could be a ‘code’ also to be relevant to the End Times disciples in the last century. These ‘codes’ could very well be foreshadowing the ‘last’ Passover of the Christian Era in the year that the ‘sign’ of the ‘Man carrying a Jar of Water’ is to occur in.  Will this be the year that this ‘sign of Aquarius’ occurs -heralding the End of the Church Age & the Rapture of the Church?

The Hidden Codes

There are 2 specific ‘signs’ that Christ provided for the Passover to His disciples to recognize & follow; both are very peculiar given the context of the time & place – a ‘Man carrying a Jar of Water’ & the ‘Large Prepared Upper Room’ in a house during a very crowded time in Jerusalem. Both of these ‘signs’ lead the disciples to answer the questions of ‘where’ & ‘when’ for the Passover. Could these corresponding signs, as then, be now likewise the hidden ‘codes’ that are a ‘type’ of the events that would likewise be fulfilled in our near future…in our Generation? Perhaps this Year even? Are these ‘signs’ even relevant for His disciples today as they were for them then?

This association to the elements & perceived hidden ‘codes’ in the Passover & its context is in no way predicting a set time or date of the possible anticipated departure of the Church. Nor is this illustration an attempt to provide a time-frame as to when the end of the Dispensation of Grace is to conclude -as many believe it is swiftly coming to a close. The overall aim of this typological analysis study though, is to speculatively draw your attention to the possible hidden associations given the types or ‘codes’ in the Passover account of the 1st century. Here are the following associations as typologies:

1) The ‘Man carrying the Jar of Water’ could be a type of ‘Aquarius’ signaling the end of the Church Age.

2) The ‘Upper Room’ can be a type of the prepared Marriage Supper of the Lamb banquet hall in Heaven.

3) The 4 Passover Cups could be a type of the 4 dispensational eras of the Church Age & beyond.

4) The 5th Passover Cup of ‘Elijah’ could be a type of the 1 Week Israel is to experience bitterness during the Tribulation.

5) From the Mark 14:25 account, the signing at the end of the Passover with the signing of the Hallel Psalms 113-118 could be a type possibly referencing to the time span from 2013-2018.* This time would  correlate to the Week long -7 Day period that Jewish observants where to still eat the unleavened bread & bitter herb after the Passover.

6) A brief overview of the Passover elements will be highlighted

*A 7 year long time span of 360 Jewish Biblical Days will be less than a modern 365 day count. Again this Psalm number association to years -per chance can just be mere speculation. It is thus a type & shadow consideration only.

One association is remarkable, that of the of the 'Man carrying a Jar of War' in relationship to the timing of the coming Age of Aquarius that is to occur at the end of the year in 2012. Could this ‘Man caring a Jar of Water’ be the ‘code’ as it was in the 1st century to imply that we are in that 'season' now that will witness the Last Passover for Christians of the Church Age? Possibly?  This would correspond to the type of how the disciples then were lead to the ‘Prepared Large Upper Room’ of a particular house. So now then would the Followers of Christ -down through the ages be lead & ushered into the ‘Prepared Heavenly Upper Room’ in the House of the LORD to abide with the LORD forever. There Christ, as the Groom, has been preparing the ‘Mansions’ for His Bride for the past 2000 years. If so, this would signal just how close we are then to when the ‘disciples of Christ’ will likewise be lead ‘up’ –Raptured to the LORD’s ‘Upper Room’ in Glory.

The Age of Aquarius

It has long been talked about & anticipated that many people from diverse beliefs & cultures –ancient & modern await a global transition & transformation of humanity. It so happens that this ‘New Age’ is to coincide officially with Dec 21, 2012. There is dispute as to when the actual time will ‘clock over’ from Pisces to Aquarius but many are convinced that on Dec 21, 2012 is when it will occur at least astronomically. This phenomena is called the ‘Age of Aquarius’. This ‘Age’ is described to have transforming qualities. It is said to be a coming age of peace, joy & brotherhood …as the song goes. Yet this aspiration of humanity has remained allusive since the Fall of Man in the Garden according to the Book of Genesis.

Many peoples though throughout recorded history have written about such a coming time, Others longed & anticipated that ‘humanity’ could somehow overcome its faults & attain a quantum leap to this ‘Age’. Perhaps it could be accomplished through ‘trans-humanism’ as we would ‘shed’ humanity aside. Despite the esoteric connotations, in no other time in history has this now come to a realization within our lifetime, literally. We happen to be the ‘Generation’ that will witness this cosmic ‘sign’, this ‘code’ of the ‘Man carrying a Jar of Water’…Aquarius of the Passover com about.

For the past 2000 years, we have been astronomically under the house of Pisces, the ‘fish’. Many would concur that this current ‘Age’ has typified the Christian Church Age. We have the famous ‘Christian fish’ on vehicles as it was used as a symbol of Christian gatherings since the 1st Century. At no other point in Church history could the disciples of Christ see this ‘sign’ or say, ‘here it is’, until now. IF we have indeed reached the ‘end’ of the Age of the Fish, which has been the Christian witness to the World, then what is left is but the pouring out of the LORD’s wrath & judgment. As the Scriptures state, the LORD will pour out His wrath on the World at large -with a promise to witness to Israel specifically for their final national redemption. Could this be then referring to the ‘week’ that Jews still had to eat bitter herbs & the unsatisfying unleavened bread after the Passover for 7 days? Could this correlate to the 5th Cup of Elijah & of Elijah’s literal return to witness to National Israel within the 7 Days? Could his type & shadow literally occur at the end of the Piscean Age & the beginning of the Aquarian Age?

The Man carrying the Jar of Water

You may not realize the significance in our modern culture of the peculiarity of this odd occurrence of a ‘Man carrying a Jar of Water’. But in the context of the 1st century this was unheard of & unseen. Basically, in those days, the women bore the heavy labor or chores of drawing & hauling water –as it is still the case in most 3rd world nations to this day. The disciples would not have missed this very odd ‘sign’ given to them. Shall we not either? Perhaps this ‘sign’ was a code to echo down the ages since that last Passover with the LORD Jesus telling us of the ‘when’ or at least the season of the Rapture to the 'Celestial Upper Room' is to occur?

Christ has revealed some particulars of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb from the Book of Revelation as to where it will be, in Glory but not when. Perhaps this sign to His disciples that ‘when you ‘See a Man with a Jar of Water’ aka the Sign of Aquarius coming, is when the Heavenly Upper Room will have been finally prepared!? And we will be gathered & led there as the disciples were to sup with the LORD in the full realization of His declared Promise to do so in the Kingdom. ‘I eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds it fulfillment in the Kingdom of God.’ -Luke 22:15

The Upper Room is Prepared

Other peculiar ‘sign’ that seems a bit odd & that could be another hidden ’code’ for us in the End of Day is that of a ‘Large Prepared Upper Room’ itself. Can this be none other than a type & shadow of the ‘Upper Room’ that immediately follows the ‘sign’ of the ‘Man carrying the Jar of Water’? You have to consider the context again of the time & place of this 1st century Passover. You have to realize that the population of Jerusalem swelled up to 7-10x more than it could accommodate due to the Passover feast. It was 1 of the 3 Feasts required of the LORD regarding the Temple at Jerusalem. We can see the echoes of the Feast where there was not enough ‘room at the inn’ for when Christ was to be born. To have a ‘large upper room, furnished’ yet reserved at a whim would have been astonishing. Every inch of the city would have been contested & spoken for during this national feast.

Of note, Jesus Christ Himself at the Passover (John 14) promised to return to take us to be where He is now, the ‘Upper Room’ of sorts in Glory. He promised that in this ‘meanwhile’ on earth over the Christian Church Age, He has been preparing ‘mansion’s in His Father’s House for us. This room has to be a ‘large’ one because it would need to accommodate the millions over the eras that have placed their faith & trust in the Savior. As Christ had prepared a large furnished room above the city 1st century, so too will He have prepared the same for His Followers after the 'last Passover to be observed by the Church in this World. He promised. When? At the time of the Rapture/Resurrection of the Dead. Where? Into the Banquet Halls of Glory where He places His banner over us in Love.

The 4 Cups

Again, using only the events of the last Passover account of Christ with His disciples as a type & shadow of possible overtones to the End of the Age & the Rapture of the Church, a timeline is set in place to project the 4 Passover/Seder Cups of Redemption. (see graph for illustration) The first 3 Cups of the Passover perhaps could likewise be a type & shadow or ‘code.’ Interestingly, the meaning of each Cup seems to reflect the tone of the 7 Church Ages of the past 2000 years corresponding to those cups. Furthermore, the 4th Cup called the Hallel Cup would then correspond to the Millennial Reign of Christ that is to last for a 1000 years after the end of the Tribulation. Hallel is where we get the word ‘hallelujah’ from which means laud and/or praise, ie worship.

If you overlay the 4 Cups onto a timeline from around AD 33 -as the accepted time of Christ’s age & time of His death, to the present era & project it onto the future, you can ascertain that the first 3 Cups echo this process of the Christian experience as seen in the LORD’s Passover. We see the ‘manifold wisdom of God’ in the Plan of Redemption in the 4 Cups during the Passover: 1) Sanctification  2) Purification  3) Redemption (Rapture) & 4) Glorification. This process has been true with what Christ has being doing to His Bride up until the Wedding Supper of the Lamb commences. Christ has set her Bride apart, & has been washing her with His Word in preparation for the Wedding when He will present her to Himself without sin at the end of the Church Age marked by the Resurrection/Rapture of His Bride. This is now all possible because Christ is our true Passover, He is the greatest of the ‘type & shadow’ that fulfilled the true Passover; He was the Lamb that was without sin or blemish, the Sacrifice for sin.

The Return of Elijah

In Jewish custom & tradition, a 5th Cup, is called the Cup of Elijah. At every Jewish Passover Seder, a place & Cup is set for Elijah in anticipation of his coming. Scripture does declare that Elijah is to herald the coming of the Messiah. According to the Book of Revelation, 2 witnesses will come to witness to the Nation of Israel before the Messiah is to return. Sadly it will be a time as it was when the ‘Law & the Prophets’ operated in Israel during  the Old Testament dispensation. It will be a time when the Nation of Israel is brought back in national repentance to the True Messiah, Jesus Christ. It will only be then & there when they will ‘see Him whom they have pierced’ at the end of the Tribulation/Battle of Armageddon.

Perhaps, as many speculate, one of the 2 Witness will indeed be Elijah -as he did not experience ‘death’ but was ‘Raptured’ away in a celestial limousine. And wasn’t Elijah one of the 2 discoursing with a transfigured Jesus on the Mt. of Transfiguration exactly talking perhaps about their mission to Jerusalem at the End of Days? Elijah could thus be witnessing during the time of Jacob’s Troubles then, the bitter Tribulation to come upon Israel that was no better than when Elijah was alive during in the days of Ahab. Elijah happened to minister during a time when Israel wavered between 2 opinions. It was a time of drought, unbelief, tribulation for Israel. Will this then be the time that correlates to the 7 Days after the Passover? Will this time of trouble correspond to Daniel’s chapter 9? The Book of Revelation would concur that at least in the last half of the 42 Jewish Month period, the Vile/Bowl Judgments of the LORD will be poured upon an unrepentant World.

The Tribulation

Not many realize that the Jews still are obligated to eat unleavened bread, bitter herbs etc. at every meal for 7 days after the Passover. It is usually the more observant Jews that do this. This could be yet another possible ‘code’ within the Passover. This 7-Day period of time after the Passover could be a shadow & type of the 7 Year Tribulation that is to come upon Israel -as understood by many that study End Times. Thus IF the Age of Aquarius is upon us this year & the ‘Banquet Halls of Glory are just about ready for when the Departure occurs to experience the Passover in the Kingdom with the LORD, perhaps this is when Elijah is to return as 1 of the 2 Witnesses to National Israel.

The LORD does not leave himself without a witness. Yet for the nation of Israel, it will be a ‘week’…..7 days….7 years perhaps of un-fulfillment as in ‘unleavened bread’ & the bitterness. This will be brought about by Israel’s acceptance of the false Messiah & Prophet & the horrific persecution that is to follow. How fitting to have the sign of a ‘Man pouring out water’ /Aquarius as a possible ‘code’ of pending judgment, not love, peace & harmony as the occult deceptively tries to portray it will be. The true coming ‘Age of Aquarius’ can & only will happen during the Millennial Reign of Christ of a 1000 years on earth, literally from Jerusalem after the Tribulation.

The Hallel Psalms ‘2013-2018’?

The Hallel Psalms are another possible ‘shadow & type’ to consider as a hidden ‘code’ or sign given to the disciples by Christ at the conclusion of the Passover meal. These are the songs that were sung as the Israelites ascended up to Mt. Zion to the Temple to present their offerings & worship. From the Mark 14:25 account, the signing at the end of the Passover of the Hallel Psalms 113 through 118 could be then a type or code corresponding to the time span of the years from 2013 to 2018.* Some others have given studies on this or a various of it –as in 2017…etc. Yet IF the type or code of the Hallel Psalms is associated with the ‘week’ long experience of Israel to suffer on the Mt. of Olives, ie the Tribulation,  it will be a long & bitter 7 Year period -as it was for the LORD Himself there & then in the Garden as He suffered before being crucified, resurrected, & glorified. 

Thus, possibly, IF this particular time frame of 2013-2018* is to correlate with Psalms 113-118, it would be a type & shadow of the long betrayal of Israel as it was with the LORD after the Passover. This ‘1 Week’ mentioned above for Israel, would encompass the typology of what Judas did. He left the Passover meal before the 3rd Cup of Redemption was pronounced & when Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper/Communion for His disciples to observe until the Feast in Glory is to be observed. Judas willingly went over to the ‘Anti-Christ & False Prophets’ in allegiance to them & made a ‘Covenant of Death’ with them. This is exactly what National Israel will do with the coming Anti-Christ. Perhaps because of the disappearance of massive numbers of Christians -whom many had supported Israel are gone, will Israel be forced to deal with what they may think as their only guarantee to their peace & security. This will certainly be promised by the False Messiah that will come on the scene to take up the vacuum. Thus this time period of the coming Tribulation that could be within the 2013-2018* year span upon Israel could be like the long ‘dark night’ Christ had to endure suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The singing of the Hallel songs by Jesus & all the disciples (minus Judas at this time) was done at the conclusion of the meal. Afterwards they then headed out for the Mt. of Olives to have an all-night of prayer…this is where the long night of the betrayal occurred for Jesus. You have to again realize that if you know the geography of the Jerusalem, you had to first go up through Mt. Zion & the Temple to get to the Garden on the eastern slopes of the Temple Mount. As a possible typology, the true disciples of Christ, after the ‘last Passover’ on Earth, are to be guided/Raptured up to Mt. Zion in the Heavenlies where they will stay awaiting the discipline that is to come upon National Israel on the Mt. of Olives, figuratively speaking. This time of Jacob’s Troubles is designed to lead National Israel to a final national repentance. This will only happen at the Return of Christ from Mt. Zion with the Hosts of Heaven & the Redeemed to the Mt of Olives eventually. It is interesting that Christ will touch-down on the very Mt. of Olives opposite Mt. Zion where He suffered as promised by the Angels that told the disciples that He would. He will descend opposite the 3rd Rebuild Temple that will have been defiled by the Anti-Christ. He will enter it through the Golden Gate as He had done prior to His Last Passover to redeem His House, City & Nation.

*A 7 year long time span of 360 Jewish Biblical Days will be less than a modern 365 day count. Again this number association per chance can be just speculative. It is thus a type & shadow consideration only.

A brief overview of the Passover Elements

"Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed." 1 Corinthians 5:7

Seder plainly means ‘order’ as in a course of a meal in succession. Passover is a festival of the LORD that demonstrates the progressive Plan of Redemption; of sanctification, purification, redemption & glorification. This is typified by the 4 Cups of wine during the Passover meal. The Passover tells the story of  Israel being delivered from the slavery in Egypt during the time of Moses. The Passover is thus a progressive history lesson of what God’s did, is doing & has yet do to –in terms of the Resurrection/Rapture, 2nd Coming, Millennial Reign etc.

The Passover in itself is a ‘type & shadow’. For those believing in Jesus we too have been delivered. Egypt represents flesh, enslavement to sin, & ultimate spiritual death. The splashing of the Passover lamb’s blood upon the doorposts & lintel of the Hebrew households before they left Egypt was & is a beautiful ‘type’ of Jesus’ blood. Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb that has brought deliverance in this fallen world from the penalty of sin, which is eternal death.

The Promises of the LORD

The Passover story begins in Exodus 6:6-7. This is where God declares the 4 “I Wills”.  These are the 4 expressions of the Redemption Plan of God that He offers to humanity, but here to Israel in particular. The 4 Cups observed during the Passover meal speak of each ‘I Will’.

1) "I will take you out of Egypt",

2) "I will deliver you from Egyptian slavery",

3) "I will redeem you with a demonstration of my power"

4) "I will acquire you as a nation"

The Preparations Required

Before the Passover meal can begin, all leaven, which is a symbol of sin must be removed from the home. The evening before, a sweep of the home is conducted to ensure that no leaven is found. Only unleavened bread is to be used for the feast. To Followers of Christ, the sinless life is pictured in the unleavened bread of the Passover. Foremost, it is a picture of Jesus who was perfectly sinless & whose body was striped, pierced & broken for us. The traditional Jewish unleavened bread has stripes and tiny holes.

The 1st Cup

This Cup is called the Cup of Sanctification alluding to the separation from the world & sin. Christ paid with His own physical body & blood to purchase humanity back from the bondage of sin & death. Furthermore, Christ not only ransomed us but bestows us right & privileges as sons, co-heirs with Christ Jesus.

The 2nd Cup

This Cup is often referred to as the Cup of Affliction. Its purpose is to be reminded of the Ten Plagues of Egypt & the suffering under the harsh rule of the Egyptians.

The Search for the Afikomen

The Afikomen is that piece of matzoth as the Jews call the unleavened bread. At the beginning of the Passover Meal, 3 pieces of motza are placed into 3 compartments in a bag. The middle piece of motza is taken out, broken in half & is placed back into the bag. The other half is wrapped in a linen napkin & hidden in the home. This Afikomen is then searched out & then presented after the meal. The Afikomen is an astonishingly picture of Jesus Christ’s work of redemption. He too was broken in death, wrapped in a shroud & hidden in the tomb to be found later resurrected & presented to the people of Israel & the world fro that matter.

The 3rd Cup

This Cup is called the Cup of Redemption is filled after the supper. This is the one that Jesus, as Messiah lifted and said "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood."

The 4th Cup

The Cup is called the Cup of Hallel. Hallel in Hebrew means "praise." The 4th Cup is the final cup -- the one that Jesus Christ as the Messiah said He would not drink until that day when He will drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Fifth Cup

This Cup is called the Cup of Elijah, was filled but not drunk. A place setting remains empty for Elijah the prophet. He is the honored guest at every Jewish Passover table. The Jewish people expect Elijah to come at Passover and announce the coming of the Messiah (Malachi 4:5).

Before we get into a discussion whether part of the day is considered as a day by rabbinic law, we have to lay some ground rules.

1. What is taught in the OT has to equal what is taught in the NT and vise-versa

2. Deut 4:2; Deut 12:32; Rev 22:18??   You can neither add nor subtract/diminish from the word of God.

"If the days of creation are regulated by the recurring interchange of light and darkness, they must be regarded  not as periods of time of incalculable duration, of years or thousands of years, but as simple earthly days. It is true the morning and evening of the first three days were nor produced by the rising and setting of the sun, since the sun was not yet created; but the constantly recurring interchange of light and darkness, which produced day and night upon the earth, cannot for a moment be understood as denoting that the light called forth form the darkness of chaos returned to that darkness again, and thus periodically burst forth and disappeared. The only way in which we can represent it to ourselves is by supposing that the light called forth by the creative mandate was separated from the dark mass of the earth, and concentrated outside or above the globe, so that the interchange of light and darkness took place as soon as the dark chaotic mass began to rotate, and to assume in the process of creation the form of a spherical body. The time occupied in the first rotations of the earth upon its axis cannot, indeed, be measured by our hourglass; but even if they were slower at first, and did not attain their present velocity till the completion of our solar system, this would make no essential difference between the first three days and the last three, which were regulated by the rising and setting of the sun.

      Day as signifying a period of 24 hours is found both in the OT and NT. The days of creation (Gen 1:5++) are reckoned "evening and morning, day x" (Gen 1:5, 8, 13, 19, 23). The Hebrews after the Exile and in the NT times, like the Babylonians, reckoned the day as beginning with sunset and extending to the following sunset (Sabbath rest, Neh 13:19; Passover, and Mazzoth festival , Ex 12:6-10, 18; Kev 23:32). In earlier times the night was reckoned with the preceding day (Gen 19:34; Lev 7:15; 22:30; Jgs 19:4-9; 1 Sam 19:11). In popular speech day more commonly signifies the hours of daylight from sunrise to sunset. Day and night are contrasted as distinct realities in the creation account of Gen 1:4, where light is separated from the darkness of chaos and called day (Job 38:12-20). The Mesopotamian division of daylight into 12 double hours and the night into three watches does not appear in the OT. In the NT the Jews had adopted the Greek division of the day into 12 hours from sunrise to sunset; the length of the hours varied according to the season of the year (Matt 20:3,5,6; Jn 11:9). Commonly also day is used to signify an appointed time (eth, chronus), a season (Kairous), or a period of time.

     The basic unit of time was the day. Like all ancients, the Israelites watched the movement of the sun (and shadow) as a mark of the passing of the day. They counted days, months,and years, and divided the nights into three watches (Jud 7:19; Ps 90:4; 119:148; Jer 51:12; Hab 2:1). So far as we know, the divisions of the day were not into exact hours; but evening and morning, midday and dawn were the usual designations. From the variations in sunrise and sunset this division, which had these natural phenomena for its two terminations, could never be exact and was therefore unsuited to nations that had reached a high degree of civilization. Such nations accordingly adopted midnight as the fixed point from which the daily cycle might be reckoned, divided into twice twelve, to twenty-four hours.

Night. The unit of time designating the period from sunset to sunrise, including the morning and evening twilight. 3 watches; Greek and roman divide the night into 4 watches (Matt 6:48; 14:24).

Hour. The Babylonians divided their days into 12 bere (the Grk hora; Eng. hour). These were two of our hours in duration, for a certain Babylonian astrologer reports that at the equinox the six bere of the day and the six of the night were exactly equal. There is no evidence in the OT that the Hebrews had any such hour or double hour, though by NT times the hour was well established and they had become single hours, 12 for the day and 12 for the night (Jn 11:9).

     The original division of the day into 12 parts comes from the Sumero-Babylonian sexagesimal system of numbering, which some believe may have originally derived form the obvious 12 lunations of the moon through each seasonal cycle. Curiously this system survives to the present day not only in our measurement of the day in hours but hours into minutes and minutes into seconds.

(From my research into time, months, years, hours, etc. over a four year period, God is still following sunset to sunset as his rule for a 24 hour day) For God, His day is from sunrise to sunset and His night is from sunset to sunrise, so when Yeshua refers to three  days and three nights, He is referring to three 24-hour periods or 72 hours, and not 52 or 36 hours.

Now that we have looked from a Biblical dictionary perspective as to what consists for a day and a night, let us go to the math department and do the math in long written form. After the math, we shall go and check out the calendars from 28 AD to 33 AD to find the year of His death.

Jon_1:17  Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Mat 12:40  For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

 A) Good Friday to Sunday.

     Most people believe Yeshua died on Good Friday at 3 PM and rose on Sunday at sunrise. Lets postulate that he was buried around 5 PM so the people putting His body in the cave or  grotto coud get back home by sunset. (We will use this 5 PM for all of our math examples). We know by the scriptures that He rose at night. So lets use three am as our starting point and work backwards. (Draw U's touching each other for seven times. Each tip will represent a 24 hour period.) From 3am Sunday morning to 3am Saturday is 24 hours. From 3am Saturday morning to 5 PM is an additional 7 hours. This totals 31 hours. If Yeshua was to be in the ground for 72 hours, what happened to the remaining hours. (It is also interesting to note that Palm Sunday to Friday does not match at all to Exodus 12:3?? and Leviticus 23). There has to be four days between home entry and the death of the lamb and not five days.

     Based on the above evidence, the Good Friday to Sunday is all lies.

B) Some suggest Yeshua died on Thursday and not Friday.

     Let us check the math here using the above example in A. Sunday 3 AM to Saturday 3 AM = 24; Saturday 3 am to Friday 3 am = 24 hours. Now 48 hours has passed (24+24=48). We know from the previous example that we have to add 7 hours. 48+7=55 hours. What happened to the remaining hours?

      Based on this evidence, Example B is also a lie.

C) Some suggest Yeshua died on Wednesday afternoon.

    Let us check the math here using the above example in A. Sunday 3 AM to Saturday 3 AM = 24; Saturday 3 am to Friday 3 am = 24 hours. Now 48 hours has passed (24+24=48). Friday 3 am to Thursday 3 am is 24 hours. We have now hit 72 hours but we still have to add 7  hours. 72+7=79 hours. Opps, we went over 72 hours so this must be a lie also.

D) Some suggest Yeshua rose on the Sabbath somewhere between 5-7 PM.

    Let us check the math out between here and Wednesday since the other days do not add up to 72 hours. We are also going to use the 6 PM burial time and go forward from there. Wednesday 6 PM to Thursday 6 PM to Friday 6 PM to Saturday 6 PM equals 72 hours (24+24+24=72 hours). Wow!! Just imagine that He arose on Saturday Night and not Sunday after midnight which the math does not add up to.

    By Jewish customs, the Feast of First Fruits had to be lifted up at the beginning of the Jewish day, not in the middle of it, (Check out all the articles concerning the Feast of First Fruits on the CD I give out freely--editor).

      Now that we have explored the Math, lets go visit Biblical calendars between 28 AD and 33 AD. (I use Online Biblical calendars for my computations--ed.)

      Based on this data, Yeshua died in 30 AD or CE. There are some who say that He died in 33 CE but this puts the Feast of First Fruits on a Tuesday which does not line up with the Scriptures in Leviticus 23. AS you notice there is not a single Passover on Thursday but there is one on a Friday. However, on the Friday Passover, 72 hours would make the Feast of First Fruits be on a Tuesday.

     The month the Hebrews were divinely directed to make the first of the year as a memorial of their deliverance from Egypt (Ex 12:1-2; 13:4). It marked the beginning of the barley harvest in the plain of Jericho and in the Jordan Valley; wheat coming into ear; uplands brilliant with shortlived vegetation and flowers.

    Ear month Hodesh ha'abib (Ex 13:4; 23:15; Deut 16:1)

Text:  an ear of corn, the month of newly-ripened grain (Ex. 13:4; 23:15); the first of the Jewish ecclesiastical year, and the seventh of the civil year. It began about the time of the vernal equinox, on 21st March. It was called Nisan, after the Captivity (Neh. 2:1; Est 3:7). On the fifteenth day of the month, harvest was begun by gathering a sheaf of barley, which was offered unto the Lord on the sixteenth (Lev. 23:4-11).

Q: What is the Biblical name for the First Month (Nisan)?

     The Torah calls this month: "The First Month" (Hodesh HaRishon) and also refers to it as "Month of the Abib" (Hodesh Ha'Abib). It should be noted that it is not called Month of Abib, but rather Month of THE Abib. Abib is not the name of the month, but rather describes the character of the month [since names in Biblical Hebrew cannot get the definite article]. The name Nissan is a Babylonian month name, which was learned by Israel during the Babylonian exile.

 1. Rosh Chodesh Nisan

     The first commandment given by Elohim to the Jewish People was to establish the beginning of the Month of Nisan (which wasn't yet called "Nisan," but, rather, the First Month). Until now, the Calendar was, so to speak, in Elohim's hands. From this point on, the Hebrew Calendar was placed in the hands of the Jewish People.

    Nisan is the Month of Redemption, because it is the month in which the Exodus took place around 2437 B.C.E., at which time the Jewish People were redeemed from Slavery in Egypt. This event, in which the Bible records (Exodus, Chapters 1-15) Elohim's intervention in human history in behalf of the oppressed Children of Israel, constituted the physical birth of the Jewish Nation.

As you can tell no one knows for sure even though they believe theirs is correct. It is all dependent from the miscalculated date for creation. Nibiru effect may have caused 3 days of darkness because it was going at 120th of its speed when it connected with Ceres planet and broke it apart.

Red Sea crossing:

    Commemorates the Exodus of the Jewish people from ancient Egypt. Special dietary restrictions beginning the morning of the previous day. No foods containing fermented grain products - Chametz - may be consumed or found in any Jewish household. Special family meal - the "Seder" - conducted during the first evening in Israel and the first 2 evenings in the Diaspora. Memorial (Yizkor) services are said on 7th day in Israel, 8th day in the Diaspora.  Paschal lamb killed in the evening (Ex 12:6) Passover begins (Num 28:16). Jesus Christ's passover occurred on this day. His death occurred on the 15th around 3 PM. On the 15th day the Jews began harvesting by gathering a sheaf of the barley Firstfruits.

  Lyrids Meteor Shower. The Lyrids is an average shower, usually producing about 20 meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by dust particles left behind by comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher, which was discovered in 1861. The shower runs annually from April 16-25. It peaks this year on the night of the night of the 22nd and morning of the 23rd. These meteors can sometimes produce bright dust trails that last for several seconds. The crescent moon should not be too much of a problem this year.

    The constellation Lyra, the lyre, is best seen in June through October in the northern hemisphere.
